Clybiau Plant Cymru Kids' Clubs is the national organisation for Out of School Childcare Clubs in Wales. These run either side of the school day and during the holidays, enabling parents/carers to return to work or training and enriching children through providing an enjoyable play focused, quality provision staffed by qualified Playworkers.
Our mission is to be the voice of Out of School Childcare Clubs in Wales, supporting children's right to play and quality childcare that is sustainable, affordable and meets the needs of children, their families and communities.
We envision a Wales where children play, and communities prosper, by championing and protecting the sector, collaborating with partners and delivering knowledgeable communications.
With over 20 years of experience, we provide the Out of School Childcare sector with training to develop a professional workforce that embraces and supports children's self-directed play.
Our Childcare Business Support services support existing childcare businesses, and help individuals, schools, committee members and others to set up a childcare business.
Quality Assurance
All Early Years and Childcare and Play settings should continually review the quality of their provision. Reflecting on provision and practice is a driver for continuous improvement. Taking part on one of the Cwlwm partner’s quality assurance schemes will help you to self evaluate your service and plan for improvement.
We provide Playwork qualifications (with NCFE CACHE, the awarding body for qualifications, rating us as ‘excellent’), Continuing Professional Development and a range of play-based activity workshops, while keen to develop new project ideas and source relevant funding to deliver fresh and exciting activities to our members across Wales.
